MUSIC MEETS FASHION – SOUND MADE IN ITALY

Correva l’anno 1957.

It was 1957 and in the green heart of Umbria a master of Italian house music was born: Antonio Ferrari alias Ralf.
Being born with natural talent Ralf has been performing since he was very young at the most alternative venues in his area. Over the years he managed to play for the most prestigious clubs in Italy and many other countries abroad. He’s a real artist in selecting music, from deep house to tech house he’s been creating catchy melodic passages heating up the most popular parties of the moment.
His ”italianity” is not just running through his blood, it’s also in his peculiar creative visions. He has the tendency of including in his performances some classic Italian songs:  that’s (also) how he likes to surprise the thousands of people gathering around him each time…  making them sing,  for example, “O’ sole mio” even on the beaches of Mikonos!  Proudly Umbrian, Ralf has created in Perugia a different reality called “Bella ciao” a sort of music factory where it’s possible to dance and listen to music sets by famous (and not famous) djs, other than being a good springboard for new emerging talents who have been specially selected by Ralf himself. There are thousands of videos on the web of the coolest moments from his performances and there will be obviously many more to come since he’s been releasing new tour dates, offering everyone the chance to say: I was there! MUSIC MEETS FASHION – ELECTRO BROTHERS

They use to say “a name, a guarantee”, in this case we have a surname: Kalkbrenner. The Kalkbrenner brothers Paul and Fritz, born respectively in 1977 and 1981, are famous for their electronic yet melodic sound that it’s hard to imagine but also delightfully listeanable indeed. The style of this two guys from Berlin became highly recognizable for its elegance all around the world through the past couple of years, since the movie “Berlin Calling” came out with Paul playing the leading role of a dj named Ickarus. The movie it’s about a dj going through a troubled time after becoming pupular on an international scale. Paul has been also producing the unique cult movie soundrack which has been released the same year as the film. When people talk about techno or electonic music we think of heavy sounds, music barely listeanable during the day but the two dj/producers have proven to be extremely talented musicians, adding outstanding melodies to electronic sounds and creating a particular genre of music which make us think of premium clubbers across the world dancing until sunrise. Perhaps we could say this two are genetically predisposed to music as their style it’s similar and peculiar although they have two different artistic identities, as if their songs must have been first recorded on their DNA and only then at the studio. SCHEMA LIBERO BRUNCH BRANCHE’

Brunch-time is one of the best times of the week, a context of space and time either short or long lasting, without any rules. I like it because you can be alone, in New York as in Milan without having the feeling of being watched, perhaps by commiserative eyes. I like that leisure atmosphere, having no constictions and no particular etiquette to follow. I like it because it marks the end of the week leading you through sweet and savory to the beginning of a new one, an interlude of bacon, fried eggs and muffins. The best one, I have to say, is the brunch in Paris: at the Cafè du Palays Royalafter wandering around the jardin or any brasserie in the Marais or Saint Germain de Pres. The typical Parisian’s artistic (also slightly cheeky)temper, is quite fashinating. They are the only men in the world who can manage to look attractive even before shaving, hiding their uncombed hair under unconvincing ugly hats, wearing large shapeless cargo trousers and pulling them off incredibly well pairing them with worn out monk strap shoes instead of the same old sneakers. SCHEMA LIBERO QUALCOSA DI BLU

Blue Snowdon it’s a photographic volume containing a selection of portraits by Lord Snowdon. Born in London in 1930, he married princess Margaret and separated from her in 1978. The publication starts with this line: “You don’t have a green shirt, white is too bright, black too funeral and I like blue” signed by the author; The subjects portrayed are people in the showbiz, fashion and art industry like Jeremy Irons, Calvin Klein, Joe Tilson and of course the British Royal Family feauturing a very young Harry from a photo taken in the year 2000. They are all wearing something blue. The book edited by Acne Studio Stockholm it’s an iconographic collection dedicated to the most classic color in menswear since the 1930s. The tecnique of simplicity ( which is a peculiarity of great photographers) and the use of natural locations, (as they are mostly studio and daylight shootings on location), increase the elegance of the pictures and also our personal perception of the color blue as part of our everyday life. Only one weird ecception: the Gainsbourg and Britt Ekland pictures are in Black and white. David Bowie on the cover of the book.

Nell’abbigliamento continuano a predominare colore e fantasie, sopratutto geometriche.
